Minutes of the VSNA Board of Directors' Teleconference call Meeting

 

  January 30, 2005

 

On January 30, 2005, the VSNA Board of Directors had the Teleconference call.  The meeting started at

11.00 am and was adjourned around 11.30 am.

Minutes:

 

1.         Minutes of the July 2nd, 2004 meeting approval:

           

Motion:  It was proposed to accept the meeting minutes of July 2nd, 2004 held in Atlanta, Georgia

Proposed: Prabhakar Patil. Seconded: Guru Murthy

           

2.         Ravi Bhooplapur praised the contribution made by Late Mrs. Vimala Channabasappa and

Late Mr. Gaghadar Kore to VSNA.

 

3.         Ravi Bhooplapur updated that, Bylaws were sent to all paid VSNA members. 91.2% of total voted approved to accept the Bylaws. BOD members appreciated Mr. G. Doddamani, Dr.S Munavalli, Dr.Anand Hiremath, Mr.Sajjan Shiva for their contribution in revising VSNA Bylaws.

            Proposed: Suresh, Seconded Jaydev

 

4.         Ravi Bhooplapur briefed the financial report on behalf of Seema Byahatti the Past VSNA Treasurer, the total VSNA Conventional Trust fund for the year ending December 31st 2004 earned on the investments was $3977.66.

            Proposed: Guru Murthy. Seconded: Prabhakar Patil.        

 

5.         It was proposed to open a Bank account for new office members to run the organization

            Proposed: Ravi Bhooplapur. Seconded: Dr. Anand Hiremath.

 

6.         Donations for Tsunami disaster will be collected until end of March 05 and the entire fund received will be disbursed to Charity (Rotary).

 

7.         Prabhakar Patil the current VSNA President will prepare the budget for year 2005-2006.

 

8.         Jayadev updated the Atlanta Convention Fund, around 450 people participated in this convention, he

            Informed that Souvenir will be published soon and all the accounts will be audited. Jayadev thanked all

            The volunteers who worked so hard for this convention.

 

9.         It was proposed to form Election committee headed by Dr.Shivakumar Kapsi. Election committee will call for             nominations to fill 3 BOD and 3 BOR positions.

 

10.        Leena Paul updated the upcoming VSNA Convention (2005) hosted by Maryland chapter, she needs, all VSNA members mailing list and she talked about the General Liability Insurance. Convention

            Will be held in University of Maryland Convention center and registration fee is around $89.00 for regular members and $50.00 for children.

 

11.        Prabhakr Patil Thanked the outgoing President Ravi Bhooplapur and his team for their hard work for VSNA organization.
