Minutes of the VSNA Board of Directors' Meeting minutes

On December 11, 2005, the VSNA Board of Directors had the Teleconference call. The meeting started at

around 11.00 am and was adjourned around 12.15 pm.

Minutes:

 

1.         Minutes of the September 25th, 2005 meeting approval:

           

Motion:  It was proposed to accept BOD meeting minutes of September 25th, 2005

Proposed: Dr. Niranjana Seconded: Basavaraj

 

2          2005 VSNA Projects Update:

 

·         Rejuvenate VSNA: Good progress is made on rejuvenating VSNA. We need to continue to work on it.

 

 

·         Membership Drive: We are still collecting the new membership dues. We discussed to mature the Membership kit quickly and distribute to all Chapter Presidents. This kit will be used as a marketing material for attracting new members. Mr.Vijaya Gowda is taking lead on making this happen by end of first week of Jan 2006.

 

                       

Maryland 600 Souvenir: Mrs.Vimal Siddalingiah is admitted to hospital for minor health issue. However, she was responsible and sent the message through Mr. Siddalingiah. The current status is that the material is ready for printing. This will happen in 1 to 2 months.

VSNA 2006 Cruise update: Prabhu Patil presented the proposal on cruise. The contract is signed with Maharaja cruise. There is no commitment on VSNA however, Maharaja cruise agreed for all VSNA needs and signed the contract for this. Please refer to the website at www.vsna.org/cruise for more details.

 

 

 

 

  • Suggestions:

 

  • BOD members made the following suggestions. These are excellent suggestions and we will implement them.

 

    • E-Newsletter:
      • Continue on e-newsletter. Since it is not cost effective, BOD agreed to discontinue the regular news letter. BOD will send note in mail to all members about this. If any members want in regular mail, the e-newsletter will be printed and sent to them.

 

    • Cruise FAQs:
      • Members asked for detailed FAQs on cruise to help understand about Cruise. Prabhu mentioned that BOR (Sateesh) is working on this kind of FAQ.

 

    • Web Page Update
      • Members asked to post about cruise on main web page. This way it will caught the attention of members.
      • Members also suggested use statistical tools to track how many people are visiting web pages.
